The assignment: To create a fictional coffee or tea brand and then design a logo and create multiple pieces of packaging for it, using typography as the primary design element.
Inspiration: As a decaf-drinker, I've always envied the numorous flavors of caffeinated coffee that are available. As a result, I created a decaf-only coffee company that gives decaf-drinkers more flavors to choose from. Dawn & Dusk Coffee: the perfect way to start or end your day.
The design was inspired by the shape of steam curling up from a cup of freshly-brewed coffee, which I also found reflected in this whimsical ampersand.

The assignment: Pick an existing company, and create a catalog that showcases their products. My partner for this project was photographer Viviana Quevedo.
Inspiration: We decided to do a point-of-purchase sprinkle catalog for Wilton, which includes an icing recipe and simple cupcake decorating ideas. This gave us the opportunity to showcase a variety of sprinkle colors and textures, and also gave me the opportunity to put my baking and decorating skills to use. The catalog folds into eight sections, and has a poster of a girl enjoying a cupcake on the back.

The assignment: To design a single month of a typography calendar. A single font could be used, and nothing but the most basic graphic elements were allowed. When completed, the class's months were combined to make a complete calendar.
Inspiration: I used the font Gill Sans and chose February for my month. I decided to turn my calendar page into a love note. I used parenthesis to make roses and went over the letters with pencil to give the note a hand-written feeling.
